Providing Subject-Specific Content Options & Open Access Funding through New Bayern-Konsortium Agreement

As a part of continued efforts to provide the latest, peer-reviewed research globally, IGI Global is collaborating directly with the Bayern-Konsortium, an association of libraries with the aim of jointly acquiring rights to use databases, electronic journals, and e-books, to offer affordable and flexible offerings for their full e-Book Collection and Knowledge Solutions e-Book Collections.

Through this consortia agreement, we wanted to provide an alternative opportunity for libraries to easily acquire subject-specific content while maximizing their budgets. This agreement provides cost savings, the opportunity to take advantage of flexible Read & Publish models, as well as the opportunity for librarians to acquire content based on evidence.

Through this agreement, over 40+ institution and library members of this consortium can benefit from evidence-based acquisitions or subscription-based pricing models to ensure that they can easily acquire IGI Global content. Products offered through this offer include: Additionally, it provides institutions the opportunity to benefit from IGI Global’s Open Access Fee Waiver (Read & Publish) Initiative, covering flexible Read & Publish and Publish & Read models. Through these models, institutions can benefit from 100% OA article processing charge or chapter processing charge waivers, funding to convert a journal to platinum OA, and/or support for funding an OA reference book, based on the agreement reached.
