Introduction

As the world faces pressing environmental challenges, the role of green entrepreneurs in driving positive change and creating a more sustainable future is becoming increasingly vital. Moreover, green and sustainable entrepreneurship has garnered significant attention in recent years due to growing environmental concerns, regulatory pressures, and shifting consumer preferences. Indeed, the increasing attention on green and sustainable entrepreneurship reflects a broader shift towards a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible approach to business. On the other hand, Digitalization plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainability efforts within green entrepreneurship. In other words, digitization empowers green entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions, reach wider audiences, and drive positive environmental impact. By harnessing the power of technology, they can create businesses that are both profitable and sustainable, contributing to a greener and more resilient future.

Objective

This book will aim to provide relevant theoretical frameworks and the latest empirical research finding in the green entrepreneurship area in the age of digital technology. It will be written for professionals who want to improve their understanding of topics of digitization and green entrepreneurship, as well as academics in an international context in the age of digital transformation.

Target Audience

The target audience of this book will consist of specialists, professionals, and researchers working in the field of green entrepreneurship in various disciplines, for example, university students and professors, emerging projects, entrepreneurs, environmental protection associations, software and application developers, environmental management, waste management, recycling, and computer science. Moreover, the book will provide insights and support executives concerned with the management of expertise, knowledge, information and organizational development in different types of work communities and environments in the age of digital transformation.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before June 30, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by July 14, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by September 1, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-anonymized review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Digitizing Green Entrepreneurship. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-anonymized peer review editorial process.
