Reviews & Statements

The Handbook of Research on Electronic Collaboration and Organizational Synergy provides scholars and practitioners of electronic collaboration with a phenomenal set of examples of global collaboration and synergy that cover business, nonprofit, public service, and educational applications. The volume will become a standard reference for those interested in leading, working or conducting research collaboratively across virtual boundaries.

– Dr. Shelley R. Robbins, Capella University, USA

– Julia Sollien, Director of Capella University Library

The astonishing book is a cornucopia of multicultural riches. It is a huge work that covers a vast swathe of issues in relation to electronic collaboration, set in an equally wide range of different cultural contexts. After persuing this massive book, I am sure every reader will leave it with the sense of a genuine meeting of minds, and will wish for more.

– Anita Pincas, University of London, UK

The Handbook of Research and Electronic Collaboration and Organizational Synergy is a solid resource for any academic library collection, especially those providing access to online resources.

– Book News Inc. (February 2009)

This represents a herculean effort to coordinate so many authors from around the world... I found this research to be well-balanced with both academically valuable and practically sound research.

– Dr. Gina Hinrichs, Capella University, Lawrence Technological University, and Benedictine Univeristy

This handbook would be a very useful resource for faculty seeking supplemental readings for their students. Both theoretical models and practical implementations are included, and the coverage of examples from around the world make this handbook a particularly valuable and unique resource.

– Joan Lippincott, Associate Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information

This is a true handbook. It is a viable resource for the experienced collaborator or technician, as well as anyone new to the charge of successfully facilitating electroinic collaboration across boundaries. It should be part of every business professional's library as a competency builder and value added resource for them to better contribute to their employers or clients, since all organizations are increasingly reliant on virtual collaboration to conduct even basic business.
